I got this mascara absolutely yonks ago at a Cocoa Brown event but it has been sitting unopened in a drawer ever since. I only open one mascara at a time as because of their short shelf life; it would be wasteful otherwise. In a mascara, I always look for something thickening so I immediately liked this mascara’s claim that it would provide a “fuller lash fan”.
When I opened it, I was immediately shocked by the wand. I have never seen another like it. It has teeny tiny bristles and a lot of them! In my experience, small brushes like this are really good for definition and length but I wasn’t betting on this giving me much volume.
I found the formula quite a happy medium between too wet and too dry – and that is from the first use. I also found that it built up quite easily and wasn’t prone to catching in one place or blobbing on the lashes. It doesn’t flake, smudge or migrate through the day and removes easily enough at night. Despite it not being volumising in any way, I actually really like this mascara. It gives a sort of doll eye effect or can look a little Twiggy-esque. I won’t repurchase it as it is fuller lashes I am after but if you like length and definition. I urge you to try this out. It will set you back €16.95 in Boots.
What do you think? Is it length, volume or definition that you seek in a mascara?
