The final Freeze 24-7 product I received at the Wizard Publicity Event to review is this Anti-Aging Eye Serum. I have a weird relationship with eye creams. Well, I don’t really, I just rarely use them as I am lazy. However, I am turning twenty four next week and while I’m not exactly past it just yet, I do think now is a good time to begin an anti-aging routine. As they say prevention is better than treatment. I received this mini sample bottle which is actually lasting me FOREVER so if you were to purchase the full 15ml (twice this amount), it will do you a considerable amount of time.
You may be happy to learn that the full size actually comes in a pump dispensing bottle – something I know a lot of people appreciate. Although I haven’t been having any difficulties with my little tube.
The serum itself is a clear, milky, light gel consistency. I dab it all around my eye area with my fingertips and gently rub it all over. I am trying to incorporate it into my evening routine so I don’t forget it and it is a lovely relaxing step. It feels cooling and soothing around the eyes and feels like it absorbs easily enough although I have noticed that my eye area looks really shiny and wet-look for a few minutes afterwards. Because of this, I wouldn’t attempt to apply makeup over the top. Instead I would save this for just before bed time.
Freeze 24-7 promise that it will diminish fine lines and wrinkles within minutes of application. They also claim it will reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness by rapidly bringing oxygen and nutrients to the area. Now, to be completely honest, I don’t have all that many fine lines and wrinkles (just yet!) but even on the one or two that I do have, I don’t notice any difference to them after using this. Freeze 24-7 are all about the science and I definitely do believe that this product has the power to work, even if only on a temporary cosmetic level so maybe it would be better tested on someone with quite a lot of wrinkling. The real difference for me is in how soothing this product is and it does leave my skin feeling like absolute silk afterwards. Although I hardly think those reasons justify the price tag. So the jury is out on this one, as of yet.
As with all Freeze 24-7 products, it is clinically, allergy and dermatologist tested, non irritating, non sensitising, hypoallergenic, not tested on animals and contains no animal by-products. And now for the part where we hold our breaths, this retails for €84. I know, it made my breath catch in my throat a little.
Although this product hasn’t completely wowed me, I did get on really well with some of their other products! To see reviews of some of them, follow these links; Freeze & Go Instant Smoother and Brightener, Ice Crystals Anti-Aging Prep and Polish and Skin Glace Daily Detoxifying Cleanser and Mask.
What do you think? Would you give this a go? Are you regimental with your eye cream routine?
