Today’s Friday Face is a festive one and I am so excited about it. I wore the look to work the other day as we had a Christmas jumper day and I got so many compliments so I decided to recreate it and film it for you!

To begin, I used my Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Normal/Dry Skin in the shade ‘Ivory’, the lightest one available. While I have been using ‘Buff’ quite a bit, it’s slightly too dark for me and so I have to bronze up my neck. ‘Ivory’ is so pale that it actually matches my neck perfectly and I have been enjoying looking pale and interesting. I used my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to apply that and then also used it to buff my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in ‘Fair’ underneath my eyes and on anywhere else that I need a little extra coverage. I set that with my Catrice All Matt Plus Shine Control Powder in ‘Transparent’ on a small Inglot 6ss Buffing Brush.
For my eyebrows, I used my NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in ‘Black/Grey’ on a Mac 266 Angled Brush because I will never get the hang of the included brush. I began by taking an Illamasqua Eyeshadow in ‘Stealth’, a neutral cream shade all over the lid and eye area as a base. I then went in with my Inglot Eyeshadow in ‘450’ on a flat, stiff brush and applied that all over the lid. Afterwards, I used a Mac 217 Blending Brush to take ‘452’ into the outer V of my eyes and blended into the crease. I took my Mac 266 Angled Brush again and used an Illamasqua Eyeshadow in ‘Obsidian’, a pure matte black underneath the eye close to the lashes. I then used my Mac 217 Blending Brush again to buff that out with ‘452’, taking the black slightly into the outer corners of the eye as well. For the piece de resistance, I pressed an Illamasqua Pure Pigment in ‘Berber’ on top of the original ‘450’ eyeshadow. I lined my upper and lower waterlines in IsaDora’s Twist Up Metallic Eye Pen in ‘Deep Black’, used my MUA Liner Brush and Maybelline Gel Liner along my upper lash line and applied Diego Dalla Palma’s Mascaragogo on top and bottom lashes. I finished up with Ardell Demi-Wispie Lashes.
To finish the look I contoured using my Sleek Face Contour Kit and applied Nars Blush in ‘Deep Throat’ to liven up my face a little. The downside to being so pale is that you can also look dead. On the lips I simply added my Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in ‘Gold Dust’ for a bit of a sheen that wouldn’t take away from the eyes.
What do you think? Would you go for a sparkly red eyeshadow look? Or are you a little too Bah Humbug for that?
