I always like to support Irish brands – it is good for our economy and there really are so many great talents out there that we should appreciate! Here are a few homegrown gifts that I would recommend this year.
As the name suggests, Bia Beauty combines food and skin care to create a 100% natural line that is even suitable for mums to be. Based in County Cork, they aim to feed our skin.
This Christmas sees the release of their Helping Hands Gift Set (€25) which contains their new Lemon Myrtle Handwash and Luxury Hand Lotion, the Feed Your Face Gift Set (€50) which is made up of their Mellow Mandarin Moisturiser, Orange and Grapefruit Facial Exfoliant, a Stop The Clock Soothing Eye Gel, an Apple Blossom Body Butter and an Invigorating Detox Scrub, and the Scrub Your Skin Gift Set (€35) which features the Orange and Grapefruit Facial Exfoliant and the Deeply Detoxifying Body Scrub. Finally, the have released their Mum and Baby Christmas Gift Set (€45) which contains a Apple Blossom Body Butter and Soothing Eye Gel for mums and natural Baby Cream for babies.
Their individual products start at just €4.95 for a natural lip balm so you could always make up your own gift set. To buy and for more information, head to the Bia Beauty website.
Pixy, also based in Cork, create handmade natural products in an array of delicious scents and cute packages. I have tried several things from the brand and have always been impressed. Think an Irish version of Lush. Pictured here is their Tempting Gift Set (€14.95) which features a scented, heart-shaped soap, two moisturising mini bath bombs, a creamy lip balm and four heart-shaped mini lime body scrubs. Also available is their Indulge Gift Set (€19.95) which contains a Lavender bath bomb, a Honeysuckle soap, Lime body scrub cubes and Lavender bath salts, as well as an Enjoy Gift Set (€19.95) made up of a bath bomb, a Honeysuckle soap, Lime body scrub cubes and Muscle-soothing bath salts.
Pixy products start at €3.45 for a bath bomb and again are perfect for creating your own sets with. There is also free delivery in Ireland for orders over €10! To order and for more information, check out the Pixy website.
Based in the West of Ireland, Irish Rain strive to create organic skin care made with aromatherapy oils that are completely chemical free. You may remember I reviewed their Revitalising Facial Oil (€19.99) , Nourishing Restorative Body Oil (€29.99) and Regenerative Cellular Repair Cream (€24.99) a few months ago and I couldn’t recommend them enough so I believe they would make stunning gifts – either great stocking fillers or as part of a hamper. Also in the range are a Clarifying Facial Treatment (€19.99), Dual Action Rejuvenating Repair Cream (€24.99), Super Regenerative Serum (€39.99), Essential Deep Cleansing Oil (€19.99) and Aphrodite Body Oil (€19.99). I have been using my products almost daily since I received them and have barely made a dent in them so these are great value too.
To order and for more information, check out the Irish Rain website.
I know, I know – I mentioned them a few posts ago but what would an Irish brand focused post be without Cocoa Brown? I have raved about their One Hour Tan (€7.99),swooned for their Tough Stuff (€7.99), drooled over their Chocolate Whip (€7.99) and now they are all available in a set with a hot pink tanning mitt (€4.99) for €19.99 (with a €29 value!) exclusively in Tesco. Also in the range is their Night and Day Tan (€7.99).
All products in the range would make great stocking fillers alone or bought as part of a bigger set. I have seen other gift sets available in Penneys too. For more information, you can check out the Cocoa Brown website but realistically they are stocked EVERYWHERE.
Human + Kind
Their ethos is to the point; simple, superior natural and dependable beauty products that multitask. Another company based in Cork, Human + Kind have a great range of products available; my favourite – the All in One Wash Off Cleanser (€14.95), the All in One Anti-Aging Cream (€29.95), the All in One Day and Night Cream (€23.95), the All in One Moisturising Body Oil (€14.95), the All in One Family Remedy Cream (€22.95) and the All in One Hand+Elbow+Foot Cream (€7.95). All would make great stocking fillers or a combination of them would make a great skin care gift set.

What would Christmas be without some sparkle? New indie polish brand, created by fellow blogger Anita of Anita’s Beauty Spot, Precious Polish have created an amazingly glittery collection called ‘Not So Silent Night’ just in time for the holiday season. The collection is made up of five top coats; Candy Caned (red and white glitter), Frosty’s Freezing (pastel blue, sapphire and white glitter), Jingle My Bells (red and gold glitter), Jolly Holly (red and green glitter) and Kiss My Mistletoe (green and white glitter). These cost €8 each and are available on the Precious Polish website.
Of course, there are tons of other Irish brands but these are just my top picks. What do you think? Will you be checking any of these out for gifts? Did I leave out anyone crucial?
