We had our cheap and cheerful gifts up a few days ago so if you are looking to spend quite a considerable amount of money on a loved one this year, look no further than this post.
Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture Colour Collection
Go on. Scroll up and take another look. Isn’t it a thing of beauty? It makes my heart go all a flutter. This stunning, sleek, black box houses 24 timeless shades of YSL nail polish from the perfect nude to the classic red and all shades in between. The bad news? Indulgence like this doesn’t come cheap and this will set you back €450, although she will love you forever. Guaranteed.
I featured this last year but it is back again. This is a beautiful way to delve into my favourite brand. The gift set includes a Powder Eyeshadow in ‘Obsidian’, a Pure Pigment in ‘Zeitgeist’, a Medium Pencil in ‘SOPHIE’, a Precision Ink in ‘Abyss’, a Masquara in ‘Raven’, an Eyebrow Cake in ‘Thunder’, a Sheer Lipgloss in ‘Artifice’, a Sealing Gel and a pair of #13 Eyelashes. It also includes a booklet on different looks you can create using the products. The price? €114.52 but the RRP of €153.88 means this is practically a bargain!
Most have heard of this pricey range inspired by the Temple Viper’s venom, it is said to have instant anti-aging effects that plumps fine lines, makes skin more radiant and gives a mild freeze effect to the skin to support the reduction of visible facial contractions. This gift set includes the infamous Snake Serum and the 15% Fruit Acid Exfoliating Pads. The pads are said to be like an at-home facial peel. Of course, good skin care doesn’t come cheap and this range is thought to be up there with the best so it will set you back €144 and is available in Debenhams.
Check out this skin care set from Lancome which features an Absolue Bx Day Cream, Absolue Bx Day SPF 15, Absolue Bx Night, Absolue Bx Eye and Absolue Oleo Serum. The range is designed to to deliver radiance and moisture as well as being anti-aging. This took twenty years of stem cell research which is reflected in the €149.50 price tag.
Of course, if you really want to spoil her (and for her to look youthful forever), why not pick up this little treat from favourites Creme De La Mer. It contains a Moisturising Soft Cream, the Radiant Serum, the Eye Balm Intense and the Hydrating Infusion, all in an under-the-sea inspired gift case. This is luxury and it will set you back €460!
I’ll stop there, shall I? For similar gifts, have a browse of the Brown Thomas website where gift sets can cost in the realm of €800. Mere pocket change, yeah? Ain’t nothing wrong with a pair of slippers, right?
What do you think? Are you picking something up for anyone that would fall into this category? Do you know anyone that would spend that sort of money?
