Naturalmente Deep Hydrating Conditioner

Naturalmente Deep Hydrating

You probably already know that I am always on the look out for something to fix my hair. I have been dying it for eleven years and while that never damaged it, my several forays into bleaching it have really taken their toll. I am also trying to grow my hair at the moment (and for  the past million years) so am trying to keep it in the best possible condition. When I received a press release about Italian brand, Naturalmente, my interest was immediately piqued.

All of Naturalmente’s hair products are naturally derived and they urge us to stop using traditional hair care and start treating our hair to gentler formulas to reveal naturally beautiful hair. Inspired by the healing powers of aromatherapy, their ethos is clear – their formulations are petrochemical-free and plant-based, and their packaging is 100% biodegradable, which is a nice touch.

I received their Deep Hydrating which is an intensive hydrating treatment made from fennel and geranium. The second I opened the package, the scent hit me full force in the face. The aroma of fennel is so strong and I am absolutely obsessed with it! It is aimed at chemically treated hair which suits me down to the ground but there are other treatments available to suit different requirements; Fruit Acids conditioner, which is moisturising and detangling, for all hair types as well as those who suffer from dry/flaky/itchy scalps; Intensive Revitalising with yogurt and millet for normal, fine or oily hair as well as those looking for a deep cleanse, and Intensive Conditioning which is an anti-oxidant one for post-coloured hair. There are also a range of shampoos and hair treatments available. as well as a handy guide on the Naturalmente website so you can discover which would best suit your hair type.

My hair can be quite dry at the ends, resulting in that crispy, crunchy feel which is what I am always striving to eliminate. To say I was excited to try this product is an understatement, if only for that incredible scent. I read the packaging and was surprised to see I only needed to leave it on for a minute. With a name like ‘Deep Hydrating’, I imagined I would have to use it like some sort of hair mask. It does recommend using it on towel-dried hair but I just wrung my hair out well in the shower before applying it and then left it on while I shaved my legs. The second I began to rinse it out, I could feel the difference – my hair, which felt dry and tangly as I wrung it out after shampooing, felt like actual silk. Legit silk, you guys! I spent far longer than necessary rinsing out the treatment, if only to feel how smooth my hair was. The overwhelming smell of fennel in the bathroom and shower really does have an aromatherapy vibe to it as well.

When I dried my hair, I was so happy with the results. My hair was shiny, smooth and with absolutely no crispy ends. Even several days later, the effects are still obvious. I only received a 50ml bottle so until I purchase the full 250ml one, I will be saving it to use sparingly as a treatment and I definitely urge you to try it out for yourself. My first venture into this brand has been really impressive and I will definitely be keeping my eye out for them in future.

So far in Ireland they are only stocking in Vaughans, Limerick and Ecco Hair, Bambridge but I am sure a little online research could find us a supplier. I need my fix!

What do you think? Have you ever heard of the brand? Would you be interested in trying them out?
